Town Council

The Town Council is the legislative body of Summerdale, responsible for making policy decisions and passing ordinances that govern our community.

Council Members

The Town Council consists of elected representatives who serve the residents of Summerdale. Council members work to address community needs, approve budgets, and make decisions that benefit all residents.

Responsibilities

The Council is responsible for passing ordinances, approving the town budget, setting policies, and working with the Mayor to ensure effective governance of our community.

Public Participation

Council meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and participate. Your voice matters in shaping the future of Summerdale.

Regular Council Meetings

Town Council meetings are held regularly to discuss town business, hear from residents, and make decisions on matters affecting our community. All meetings are open to the public.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets to review development proposals, zoning matters, and planning issues. These meetings are also open to the public.

Note: The Planning Commission meeting and Workshop will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, not June 20th.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on zoning matters, subdivision plats, and other planning-related issues. The commission plays a vital role in guiding the growth and development of Summerdale.

Board of Zoning Adjustment

This board hears requests for variances and special exceptions to zoning regulations, ensuring fair application of our zoning ordinances while considering unique circumstances.
